The European Salsa orchestra "Conexion Latina" is the most well known european band around the world from its conception eighteen years ago. Their music has been transmitted by radio stations throughout the world filling many homes with their energetic music. The band has it own unique sound. This is attributed to the musical arrangements done by many well know Salsa music arrangers throughout the world such as Paquito D'Rivera (Cuba), Luis Garcia (Puerto Rico), Eddie Martinez (Columbia), Marty Sheller (USA), Gil López (Puerto Rico), Alberto Naranjo (Venezuela), José Febles (Puerto Rico), Oscar Hernández (Puerto Rico). It was during a trip to the Island of Puerto Rico in 1979 that a renown Jazz Trombonist from Germany by the name of Rudi Fuesers fell in love with the island's Salsa music. Upon his return to Germany he decided to organize and launch the orchestra "Conexion Latina".The Conexion Latina's first presentation on 5 April 1981 at the legendary club "Domicile" in the city of Munich was a huge success. The band was accepted immediately by the public and even today the impact the band left can be felt throughout the city. This bands success comes from combining the Afro Caribbean rhythm and Jazz harmonies. We call this musical genre "SALSA". This band performances has had musicians of international caliber of the likes of Hector Martignon, Joe Gallardo, Freddy Santiago, Anthony Martinez, Nicky Marrero. These musicians as well as the bands regular musicians are outstanding players of their respective countries and instruments. Some of Conexion Latina's invited guests include Bennie Bailey, Bobby Stern, Ismael Miranda, Tito Allen and Larry Harlow just to name a few. After completing a successful European tour that included Salsa and Jazz Festivals, the Conexion Latina recorded their first album in 1984 named "Calorcito". Since then they have produced and recorded five additional albums. These musical productions have been aired on radio stations from Puerto Rico, Panama Venezuela, Florida, California and other countries around the world.
